We have it on good authority that the producer is especially proud of this lot and with very good reason.

About the bean:

Pink bourbon first appeared in the villiage of San Adolfo, South Hulia in 2014. Since then it's caputured the imagination of producers, roasters and slurpers alike ever since. This bean has a reputation for high quality and good clarity.

This coffee’s all about balance. The producer is keen on quality, using lab technology to assess their beans. They pick out Pink Bourbon beans that bring a caramel-like sweetness, a creamy body, and just the right hit of citrusy acidity. Perfect for both espresso and filter.

The name "Remolinos" comes from the whirlpools found in the rivers of South Huila. This region’s incredibly fertile—it’s part of the Colombian Massif, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and a major water source for Colombia. Plus, fun fact: Pitalito, the biggest town in South Huila now, used to be a lake valley known as el valle de Laboyos.
